Syria Visa

All U.S. citizens need a Syria visa to enter the country. If you are planning to travel to Syria, you must obtain your visa before your trip because visas are not issued on arrival.

It is important that you secure the appropriate travel documents before arriving in Syria. Without them, you will not be allowed to enter the country. In addition, according to the U.S. Department of State, Syria does not allow individuals with an

Israeli visa stamp in their passport to enter the country. If you have an Israeli entry or exit stamp in your passport, you will not be granted entry into Syria.

If you plan to stay in Syria for more than 15 days, you must register your visit with immigration authorities within 15 days of your arrival in country.

Requirements for obtaining a Syria visa vary based on the type of visa for which you are applying. Below is a list of the most common visa requirements you can expect to provide during the application process.

  • Two visa application forms. It is very important that you provide all of the required information requested on these forms. Incomplete and inaccurate applications will not be processed, delaying the issuance of your visa and potentially your travel plans.
  • U.S. passport with at least six months validity remaining
  • Passport photo
  • Applicable visa fee
  • Visa requirements are subject to change at any time without notice, and consular officials have the right to request additional information from any applicant prior to issuing a visa. For the most up to date Syria visa requirements, visit the website of the Embassy of Syria.

    Submitting Your Application

After you have completed your application form and gathered the required supporting documentation, there are two ways you can submit your applications materials.

You can apply in person at the Syria Embassy in Washington, D.C. or one of the Honorary Consulates in California, Texas or Michigan, or you can apply by mail. If you choose to apply in person, you must call ahead to schedule an appointment.

If you do not have an appointment, you will not be allowed to submit your application. If you choose to submit your application by mail, it must be sent by Certified or Express Mail, and you must include a self-addressed, prepaid return envelope (Fed Ex or Express Mail), so your passport can be returned to you after your Syria visa is issued.

The cost of a single, double or multiple entry visa for travel to Syria is $131. All fees are non-refundable and must be paid by money order. Other forms of payment, including cash, personal check, credit cards and debit cards will not be accepted.

    Visa Services

Visa services make applying for a visa simple and fast. Visa companies are authorized by foreign embassies and consulates to submit applications on behalf of their clients.

If you want to make sure your visa application is completed correctly so you do not experience any delays, a visa service like “company name” can help. Visa companies are experts in the application process.

They have representatives available to answer any questions you have at any time during the application process. Most visa services also have databases of the most up to date visa requirements for nearly every country in the world, making it easy for you to identify the requirements you need to fulfill when applying for your Syria visa.

When you have completed your application, a representative from the visa company will review it for you to make sure there are no errors before submitting it to the Embassy or Consulate for processing. After your visa is issued, it will be mailed to you, so you can leave for your trip as scheduled.
