Gambia Visa

All U.S. citizens need a Gambia visa for entry into the country. The U.S. Department of State recommends securing your visa before you arrive to prevent delays.

However, according to the State Department, if you do not have a travel visa when you arrive in Gambia, you may be allowed to enter the country, but you will be required to obtain a visa from the Department of Immigration within two days of arriving in country.

When you apply for a visa, you will be required to submit a variety of forms and supporting documentation, so your application can be processed. Below is a list of items that are commonly required to secure a Gambia visa.

  • Completed visa application form. You must provide a variety of personal information about yourself and your travel plans, including your name, date of birth, place of birth, nationality, address, phone number and travel dates. It is important that you complete this form in its entirety. Incomplete and inaccurate applications will not be processed, delaying the issuance of your visa and possibly your travel plans.
  • Valid U.S. passport
  • Passport photo taken within the last six months. Be sure to write your name and passport number on the back of your photo and sign it.
  • Visa application fee
  • This list is not meant to be all-inclusive. Additional documents may be required depending on the reason for your travel.

Consular officials may require applicants to interview in person or by phone prior to issuing a visa. Gambia visa requirements can change at any time. For the most up to date requirements, visit the website of the Embassy of The Gambia.

    Submitting Your Application

After you have completed your application form and gathered the required documentation, you must submit your application for processing. Your application can be submitted to the Gambia Embassy either in person or by mail.

If you submit your application by mail, you must include a prepaid, self-addressed envelope, so your passport can be returned to you after your visa is issued.

The Embassy of Gambia recommends including a FedEx, UPS or Express/Priority Mail return envelope. Regular processing of Gambia visa applications takes three to four business days. Express service is available for an extra fee of $50.

The fee for a multiple entry visa is $100. It is payable by money order and is non-refundable.

    Visa Service

Professional visa services make applying for a visa fast and simple. Visa companies are authorized by foreign embassies and consulates to submit visa applications on behalf of their clients.

They are experts in the application process, and they will work with you to make sure your application is complete and accurate, so you don’t experience any delays with the issuance of your Gambia visa. When you work with a visa service like “company name,” a representative will guide you through the process to ensure there are no mistakes on your application.

Visa companies have large databases of the most up to date visa requirements for nearly every county in the world, making it easy for you to identify the documents you must submit with your application.

And if you have questions at any time, a representative will be available to get you the answers you need. Some companies even have representatives available twenty four hours a day to respond to client inquiries.

After you have gathered the required documentation and completed the necessary forms, simply send your application to the visa service, and they will take care of the rest.

A representative will review it before submitting it to the embassy for processing. When your Gambia visa is issued, it will be mailed to you, so you can leave for your trip as planned.
