Benin Visa

All U.S. citizens are required to have a Benin visa for entry into the country. If you are planning a trip to Benin, you must secure your travel visa before you arrive because visas are not issued on arrival. Visas can be issued for either a single entry or multiple entries and are valid for up to 36 months.

Below is a list of requirements for securing a visa for travel to Benin.

  • Completed visa application form. When applying for a visa to travel to Benin, you will be required to complete an application form where you must include a variety of information about yourself, including biographical data, details about your travel plans and information about your passport. It is very important that you fill out the form completely and accurately. Incomplete or inaccurate applications will not be processed, delaying the issuance of your Benin visa.
  • U.S. passport with at least six months validity remaining
  • Passport photo
  • International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever
  • Visa fee
  • Letter of guarantee from your employer, travel agency or bank or a copy of your round trip ticket

This list is not meant to be exhaustive. Visa requirements can change with no notice and consular officials have the right to request additional information from any applicant. For the most up to date visa requirements, visit the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Benin.

It is important to note that applying for a visa does not guarantee you will be issued one. Visa applications can be denied for a variety of reasons, including lying on your application, not having travel arrangements, having a criminal record and many others.

    Submitting Your Application

When you have filled out your Benin visa application form and gathered the required supporting documentation, you can choose to submit your application materials in person at the Benin Embassy or by mail. After your application has been processed and approved, your visa will be stamped in your passport. If you mail in your application, be sure to include a Certified Mail or Express Mail self-addressed, prepaid return envelope, so your passport can be returned to you. You should allow three business days (not including mailing time) for your application to be processed.

The fee for obtaining a visa is $140.00. All fees must be paid by certified check or money order only. Other forms of payment for a Benin visa will not be accepted.

    Visa Service

Identifying the appropriate requirements when applying for a visa can sometimes be a challenge, especially if you’ve never applied for one before. It is also the most important part of the process. If you do not fulfill all of the requirements, your application will not be processed and your visa will not be issued, potentially delaying your travel plans. Don’t let the hours you’ve spent planning your trip be wasted because you forgot to include a document with your visa application. Let the experts at a professional visa service like “company name” help you prepare your Benin visa application and rest assured that it will be completed as necessary so you don’t experience any delays.

Visa services are authorized by foreign embassies and consulates to submit visa applications on behalf of their clients. They are also familiar with the most up to date visa requirements (which can change with no notice) of nearly every country in the world.

They will use this knowledge to help you complete your application. If you have questions at any time during the application process, you can contact them and a representative will get you the answers you need. When you have filled out your application form and gathered all of the necessary documents, you will send them to the visa service, where your application will be reviewed before it is submitted to the Embassy for processing.

A representative from the visa service will pick up your Benin visa after it is issued and mail it directly to you, so you can leave for your trip as planned.
