Cameroon Foreign Entry Requirements
If you are planning a trip to Cameroon, it is important that you familiarize yourself with the Cameroon foreign entry requirements before your arrival in country.
All U.S. citizens are required to have proof of yellow fever vaccination, immunization records, a passport and a visa upon arrival. Without the proper documentation you will not be allowed to enter the country.

Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
All U.S. citizens should have their Yellow Fever vaccination certificate readily available to present to authorities upon arrival in Cameroon to show they have been vaccinated against Yellow Fever.
According to the Cameroon foreign entry requirements, U.S. citizens traveling to Cameroon must have their current immunization records to show officials when they arrive in country.
U.S. citizens visiting Cameroon are required to have a valid U.S. passport for entry into the country. If you do not have a passport or your existing passport has been damaged or will expire before your trip, you must obtain a new one before arriving in Cameroon.
In addition to a valid passport, all U.S. citizens must have a valid visa to enter Cameroon. You must secure your visa before arriving. Visas are not issued on arrival. Cameroon issues several different types of visas. You are responsible for securing the appropriate one based on the purpose and length of your trip.
When you apply for a visa to meet the Cameroon foreign entry requirements, you will be required to submit several forms and supporting documents in order for your application to be processed.
The exact items you must provide vary depending on the type of visas for which you are applying. However, below is a list of items that are required for most types of visas.
Two completed visa application forms
Passport valid for at least six months after the proposed expiration date of the visa
Two passport photos
Application fee and visa fee
Copy of yellow fever vaccination certificate
Application submission sheet (for applications submitted in person)
Prepaid, self-addressed FedEx, UPS or Express Mail return envelope (for applications submitted by mail)
There are additional requirements for minors who need to secure a visa to meet the Cameroon foreign entry requirements.

Submitting Your Application
After you complete your application and gather the necessary supporting documents, you can either submit your application to the Cameroon Embassy in Washington, D.C. in person or by mail.
Applications submitted in person must be dropped off between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Monday – Friday, and they must be picked up between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. It takes approximately seven business days to process most Cameroon visa applications.
