Cambodia Foreign Entry Requirements

If you are planning to travel to Cambodia, it is important that you familiarize yourself with the Cambodia foreign entry requirements prior to your arrival.

If you do not meet all of the requirements, you will not be allowed to enter the country. All U.S. citizens will be fingerprinted at the airport on arrival, and they need a valid passport and visa to enter Cambodia.

Additional information about the entry requirements is included below. However, these requirements are subject to change at any time. For the most up to date information, contact the Cambodian Embassy or visit the website of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Fingerprinting

According to the U.S. Bureau of Consular Affairs website, Cambodia fingerprints visitors on arrival at airports using an electronic fingerprinting system.

Passport

All U.S. citizens are required to have a passport valid for at least six months after the day they enter Cambodia to comply with Cambodia foreign entry requirements. If you do not have a passport or your current passport has been damaged or does not have the requisite amount of validity remaining, you will need to secure a new one before you arrive in Cambodia.

Visa

U.S. citizens traveling to Cambodia are required to have a visa for entry into the country. Tourist and business visas can be obtained prior to arriving in Cambodia or on arrival at the Phnom Penh and Siem Reap airports and various border checkpoints. Other types of visas must be secured before arriving in Cambodia.

When you apply for a Cambodian visa to meet the Cambodia foreign entry requirements, you will be required to complete several forms and provide a variety of supporting documents, so your application can be processed.

The exact documents you must submit can vary based on the purpose of your trip. However, below is a list of items that are commonly required to secure a Cambodian visa.
